Transit Mk6 2.4 Wont Start.

hi all.. just wondering if anyone can help. I cleaned out my egr valve yesterday and after putting everything back together the van wont start. as i turn the key i can rev it for a second and then it just dies straight away. would blanking the egr valve help or would i need to get a code reader on it first.. any help would be much appreciated.. thanks

blanking the EGR might help but the fact its cutting out sounds like a fuel / air problem rather than EGR.

Check the air filter, and also check all pipes and hoses are not damaged. Next thing to do would be a leak off test to ensure there is fuel going through the injectors,
