can I put 14 inch alloys on my car as my 16 inch alloys are buckled will this affect my car

It can be done providing they are the same fitment and you should have no problems. It also depends on what tyres you have on them and try and stay as close to the rolling radius as possible.

There are a few rolling radius calculators on the web you can search for which with help you find out if you know the measurements of the tyres on them etc.

Should do.

As Nath says, just make sure the rolling radius is the same. The other potential issue could be a lack of clearance on the brake caliper. Also inform your insurance as they love non disclosure's to get out of paying out in the event of a claim!

r175/65r14 would this be ok

If you've got anything over a 1.6 engine I think the brakes will be too big for 14" rims. Even the smaller brakes may be too big, I thought the steels used on low spec Mk2 Focus' were 15"? Edit - thought this was in the Focus section, my bad, which model is it lol?

How have you managed to buckle your alloys anyway? I hit a kerb at 50 in an avoidance manoeuvre, made a hell of a graze on the wheel but it's still straight!

Normally these buckles are the inner rim from pot holes and speed bumps and the likes!

I agree though that 14" wheels can often lead to a mismatch with the brakes - so I wouldnt pin your hopes on it, however overall the fitment should be accurate enough work, and then as long as you get the right sized tyres, you wont need to account for speed difference.

14" alloys seem to fit fine the ford spare is the same as the wheels I bought so all seems good will take them to the garage to balance and fix tracking would never get ford standard titanium wheels again seem to be very poor quality

If the spare is a 14 they'll fit fine, I take it it's a Fiesta?

My Titanium wheels take all sorts of abuse on a daily basis and are still good though, not poor quality at all, you should try Vauxhall wheels, hit a pothole and they split around the rim lol.

I do try to avoid potholes and sunken drains when I see them though. My only gripe is the small amount of 'poke' on the spokes meaning they catch the kerb before the tyre does if you're a bit close with parking lol.
