Dino1973
Hi I'm new to club so hello all I've recently bought a Galaxy but have noticed that I sometimes get an issue with the engine loosing pulling power and the engine chugs when stationary, if I stop and turn the engine off then restart it seems to solve the issue Does anyone know why this is or has experienced it themselves? Thanks d
iantt
There used to be issues with the maf sensor around that age. Not saying thats your issue but something to bear in mind when trying to fix it, goes into a limp mode until ign off and on again then would run ok again for a while. Galaxy Mark
Have you tried reading the codes (if any), you will need VCDS (vag-com) to read them properly. I had a simular problem on mine in that sometimes it would intermitently lose power and then kick in again, this turned out to be a faulty cam sensor. Mine sometimes gets a bit chuggy on tickover when cold but this normally happens on colder mornings and when it hasnt had a long run for a while. I use a fuel cleaner every so often which helps a lot.
