Engine Of The Year

Featured Replies

Ford's 999cc Turbo engine has won the 2015 International Engine of the year in the sub 1-litre category. But their 1.5-litre turbo engine only managed 5th place in its category and was a long way behind the winner. Surprising as both engines must use similar technologies.

Pumaspeed have got 205bhp from their demo 1.0 still on standard internals. It does show what a great engine it is!

Did the 1.6 dv6 ever get engine of the year? Lol

Yes it did - in 1651 :)

The words '' engine '' & DV6TED4 should never be mentioned in the same sentence :)

Those bits found in sump (40k 2012)

As I have stated the DV6TED4 is widely believed to be inherently suspect & if Fraud / PSA had a spine they would admit as much themselves

Couldnt aggree more, and folk still keep buying them, sticking with my award winning 1.0 .lol

That's very impressive, but I wonder how long it would last before the engine / gearbox falls apart. Also it's kind of pointless when you could upgrade to an ST for less money.

Its done 12k so far

A colleaug eused to have a MK3 Mondeo ST, it died a slow and painful death, and he went out and bought the Focus MK3 1.5 diesel, he thinks its the mutts danglers!

It has power where he didnt expect it, comfortable and feels reliable. He seems happy enough!
