Hello, Im Johnny from Kent, My car is a Ford Focus mk1 1.8 16v year 1999

Really good to be able to join a club like this to seek help!
the car is old i know but it's never let me down engine wise.

The problem i have is with the central locking,

when locking the car with the remote key fob and with the drivers door already locked the remote will unlock and lock all the doors apart from the drivers door, when the drivers door is unlocked it won't lock any doors, when i manually lock the car with the key in the drivers doors it all locks and unlocks fine, Could anyone please help me with this?, or point me in the right direction,

PS: things i have tried-----new fob battery, no change, re-programmed the key fob using ignition, no change.

Hi welcome :)

Welcome to the site Johnny. You will get some help if you start a thread over in the Focus forum.:)

Welcome!

Welcome to the forum Johnny! Having owned a 2000 Focus myself and having had the same central locking issue as you, I would suggest it is the drivers door locking motor that has burned out. It was the passenger front door in my case and I never bothered getting it fixed.
