Hey guys,

How you doing? I've just joined up because I've had a fiesta mk5 1.25 Zetec S for the last 3 years,

Thinking of upgrading to a Ford Focus Mk1 2004 Zetec SE Hatchback model.

Any idea what to look out for, any problems people have had in the past? It looks rather clean, has only 102,000 miles on the clock and is going for €1695

If the community would help me out it'd be great ! :)

    Prone to speedo sensor failures and dodgy instrument clusters.

    Also check the wiring between the roof and rear hatch for chafing.

    Welcome to the site jamie! That sounds rather expensive, not sure what the exchange rate is but i would expect to pay £600-800 for that year and mileage.

    I have actually put a deposit on it now, and got him to put it through the NCT, and fix all the minor stuff for free. I don't think it's too bad of a price as there is only one little scratch on the front bumper and thats it, it's rather clean.
