Aux Input

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 2006 Ford Fiesta Climate.I have had the stereo out and noticed it has an Aux plug included in the quadblock. It seems this connects to a block under the passenger seat.

Can anyone tell me what this is for,i want to connect a Aux cable for my ipod but i dont know if i can just unplug that and leave it dangling behind the stereo or whether i can connect something to the block under the seat.

Thanks

Sounds like your car is rigged for a CD changer unit which would usually mount undee the seat.

Usually you will find that if the radio is designed to link to a CDC then a standard aux input won't work due to different interface methods in the radio.

I'd buy a non oem aux cable (one with a 3.5 plug on the end rather than the standard ford type with the fitted socket) and try that first.

If it runs ok then you could proceed to getting a proper Ford one installed.

If this doen't work then an interface module from Connects2 (same company as the cable I have linked you to) may be the answer.
