Focus St Engine Cutting Out

Featured Replies

For a while now when driving along the car kept jumping and losing power once on the motorway the battery light came on and the power went completely i managed to re start the car in motion and get it home, several garages looked and couldnt find anything wrong, eventually the engine cut out competely and the car wouldnt start so the RAC came out said it was most likely the crank shaft sensor..he replaced it and still nothing so he took it to an RAC approved garage, they replaced the sensor and wiring to the sensor and the car was fine for about a week then it started again and it went back they couldnt find anything wrong, a week later it was worse they took it back in and replaced the sensor again, driving along yesterday the jumping started and the battery light came on and the power cut out again and i managed to re start it, nothing comes up as wrong on the ford diagnostic machines and no one here seems to know what to look for or what it can be?
