Which Glue To Use

Featured Replies

Got a 2006 Fiesta. The external trim is coming off on the door pillars. Looks like the glue that holds the metal trim to the plastic/nylon clips has failed.

I know from past experience that gluing plastic to metal can be very difficult so does anyone know what glue Ford use?

I know epoxy or regular superglue won't work. It must be some sort of glue that remains/retains some flexibility like a hot melt? No doubt it's something exotic made by 3M or ??

Thanks.

Get yourself either tigerseal of another form of polyurethane sealant/glue. It's very strong stuff.

Araldite rapid works a treat, used it on my mk6

Thanks. I'll give polyurethane adhesive a go.

Its used to hold on body kits, side skirts, spoilers etc - very good stuff.

It is indeed good to stick on but if you ever want to take it off for some reason it usually won't come off in one piece lol
