Lack Of Parking Sensors - New Mondeo

Featured Replies

I have recently received my brand spanking new Mondeo 2.0l Titanium (X pack) company car.

The car is a real looker and it is the first time i have noticed people actually turning their heads when a Mondeo passes! I wonder if it the Deep Impact Blue that is doing it??

I have one major gripe though, and that is the lack of parking sensors as standard on this level of spec. What makes that even more frustrating is the fact they put privacy glass in the rear of the car so visibility is poor through the rear view mirror. Especially as the nights are drawing in. With the length of the car as it is, i would have thought that some bright spark at ford would have thought reverse parking such a beast would be problematic without parking aids.

I know they do the park assist as an option, but this was not an option through my car scheme and now i am in fear of damage every time i reverse park my car.

As it is a company car, i am not willing to pay the £600 for are quoting the lease company for me to have park assist retro fitted (at my expense!) So just gutted really, as if i had known there would be such bad visibility issues, i would have gone for another car.

£600.00? Are you sure that's not the leasing company trying to pull a fast one? Parking sensors are usually around 200 dealer fitted

£500 for front and rear done . No way £200 . Lol

Missed that front parking sensors were wanted aswell. most dealers will fit the rear for £200.00 + VAT

Why dont you just fit your own? £20 jobs a good 'un
