My name is Andrew I work for a Honda motorcycle dealership in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. I have recently been approached by a MK6 Escort owner. He would like to exchange it for a motorbike and I'd like some help with a valuation. It's very much a one off and could be something special to the right person :-)

Welcome to the site Andrew. You are better asking in the Escort and General forums as this is just for introductions so people might not read it here. :)

If it were an easy car to sell then i would have thought the owner would sell it privately to get a higher price. I would not personally px a car that was so modified as you normally only get standard book price because the dealer knows it will only appeal to a limited market.

Agree with Wes180 here, a lot of time and effort has gone into that car, and it is most certainly one of the better custom jobs I have seen! However, it will only appeal to a limited market and I am fairly sure that your guy will want enough to cover his efforts, which will no doubt be worth more than the actual car. If I was in the trade, I would appreciate the one-off nature, but would avoid the trade in and advise selling it privately.

Is it RHD or LHD , ( as the plates look foreign ) ?

LHD might detrimentally affect the value, although it looks like a small fortune has been spent on that Escort, far outweighing it's intrinsic value

its only worth as much as somebody is willing to pay , plus with modded cars you do not know if its been done right and who done it
