Currently looking at insurance, can anyone recommend a company? ive tried a lot of the big ones but the decent ones want over a grand!

I have been given a decent quote from Close Finance but was with them before and read some recent reviews and they seem a bit poo.

my issue is I may be moving soon and my partner may be getting a car too, i dont want to get screwed over changing address or having to cancel my policy to do a multicar, any ideas?

There are too many variables with car insurance, it's not one size fits all, so try an insurance comparison website such as go compare or compare the market etc

tried those, but commonely the cheapest are the rubbish companies, i read reviews before i commit to them

It's often the case with any kind of insurance that you get what you pay for

£1000 seems a lot - so much depends on age, length of time licence held, where you live, convictions, type of car, value of car, etc etc

my current inurance is only around £550 I did pick up a speeding conviction but wouldnt expect the higly rated companies to whack another £500 on just for that.

I will probably settle with one of the lower rated and just take it as it comes if I move etc
