Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Which is the best air filter for my car? Here's what I found on ECP but im unsure which one would be best, I dont want to buy poor quality products. All help is much appreciated.

Thanks :)

That link doesn't bring up filters - Mann & Crosland are good quality filters as well as OEM of course

From what I can gather, Mann and Crosland both manufactur OEM Filters - including Ford.

There are even suggestions they've manufactured each others lol

As for fit: I find the Mann air filters are perfect - even better than the OEM one it replaced.

(Focus 1.8 petrol)

I'm also very happy with Mann oil filters - no weepage like some (*ahem* Halfords *ahem*).

Pollen filter is just a nightmare regardless of brand lol)

Genuine ford parts will be a similar price to most aftermarket parts.

Have a look on fordpartsuk they sell service kits, we have a mk5 2001 1.25 the kit for that is £60 (air, oil, fuel and pollen filter, spark plugs and sumo plug) just need oil which they also sell.
