Alright so I changed the battery on one of the keys for the fez. I went out and tested it and all was well, car turned on, locked, unlocked etc. As I was getting out I stupidly gave the wheel a bit of a tug and engaged the steering lock so naturally I went to disable it. Put my key in the ignition and it won't turn, go to get spare key and that also will not turn. Get out, lock and then unlock it to fool the ECU into thinking this is a seperate trip and still nothing.

Any ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated as my car has blocked in my dad's mondeo and he has work tomorrow. It is likely that this is a pretty stupid question but bare in mind that I am still yet to get my license.

    do you mind sharing what the problem was, this happenned my ford fiesta now aswell and I promise it is not a steering lock thing! I have had a mechanic out and everything, they say it may actually be a 'ford' issue and i might need to get someone from ford involved
