Quick Question About Fiesta Alloys.

Featured Replies

Hi, just a quick question, I currently own a ford fiesta zetec 1.4 2004 model and have buckled both front alloys so now the steering shakes at 60 and above(at least I'm hoping that's why the steering shakes :ermm: ), my question is would the alloys from my ford fiesta fun 1.3 2001 model(think its an mk5?) fit on my fiesta zetec(think it's mk6)?

Tried finding an answer on google but have found nothing.

Thanks.

As far as the steering wheel shaking is concerned, buckling the front wheels has no doubt altered the wheel balance detrimentally & it's common for out of balance wheels to cause the steering wheel to shake at around that roadspeed

I had the exact same problem with an almost identical Fiesta. Two of the wheels were so badly buckled before I bought it that when I took them to a wheel repairer he couldn't balance them completely after the repair so was still left with wheel wobble. So I had the wheels swapped front to back so the best 2 wheels were at the front and this helped a lot, although one of the other wheels was slightly buckled so it wasn't perfect. I'd try that first.

As Phil has suggested, I'd be inclined to swap wheels back to front to eliminate the front alloys, if you still have issues then something else has been damaged or worn.
