Hello I have a ford ranger 54 plate been to the garage because the glow plug relay keeps on clicking when the engine is turned off and the key removed don't know what it could be ? But after about 10 minutes the battery is flat and the glow plugs burnt out somebody said bad earth somewhere but where ?

    Hi Richard,

    IT could be a bad earth, but I recall on the CMAX for example, there was a known corrosion fault on the relay which could lead to shorts and fires. I wonder if your suffering a short here?

    Given the battery is flattening and the burn outs, it would seem your earth is probably fine, if not a short elsewhere due to wiring...
