Replaced Battery Car Still Dead

Featured Replies

Like a !Removed! iIleft my headlights on overnight which of course drained the battery, iIhave put in a new one but still nothing, the motor isn't even trying to turn over (that chugging noise) tried a jump start and bump start but still nothing any ideas? Thanks car is an 06 fiesta

Is the new battery fully charged ?

Sounds like the immobiliser might have triggered if a bump or jump start isn't working.

Are your lights working?

On my mum's old Peugeot, when her battery went flat, you had to lock and unlock the car with the fob to reset the immobiliser, not sure if it is the same on Fords?

was there a spark when you connected the battery up?

Second, if you plug it in and turn the key is there any clicking noise anywhere? do any lights come on anywhere?
