Hello Everybody

Featured Replies

hi there, long time ford owner. only cars i have had. Member of focusstOC and FFOC but checking here as well.

Started with mk4 fiesta. then i got a mk1 focus 2.0 ghia which i spent to much money on tuning the engine to 180bhp. After that i got a mk2 ST which i have loved for the last 6 years. Modified few bits on it and was pushing 300bhp was so much fun to drive. Unfortunatly it died a death on the way to get its MOT. The alternator packed up.

So as we have a 3 1/2 year old and 4 week old the other half has convinced(forced) me to get a new car. Now she wanted a C-Max but im not ready for that yet so as a compramise we have settled on a mk3.5 focus. I have part ex my st to ford and got a Titanium Estate 1.5t ordered arriving in the next week or two at the most. its got the navigation kit and door protectors added as this was already built and ready to be delivered. We wernt overfussed about extras as long as titanium spec and we could get ASAP due to travelling for xmas and going to northampton in the other halfs fiesta wasnt feasible.

so have signed upto have a scout about and find any issues or peoples experince with the 1.5t as they appear to be very rare to find.

I know i shouldnt but have already looked at tuning, seen the bluefin to take power to "197"bhp and the mountune kit for the 1.6t but wondering if they might do the 1.5t in the future as i belive they are the same engine just slightly smaller for emissions.

My main question is do they come with stop/start as i couldnt find anything in the broucure or online. i know it has active city stop which is different. Im not fussed about this at all but the other half was asking.

Hi their & welcome, i remember you from ffoc. I'm still on it.

Thanks again every one taking the dive on the induction kit off the 1.6 ecoboost.

I just bought the K&N e-9289 filter for my 1.6 Ecoboost. Its the same filter that is in the 57s-4000 kit which comes with a replacement lid for around £70 more than the filter alone. It has a removable bung on the side to give more induction noise if you want it without any heat soak issues associated with open cone filters.
