Light Switch

Hi, I seem to have a problem with the "P" setting on my 2008 focus light switch. When selected the parking lights stay on, I understood they were intended to be on a timer to turn off automatically, or is this wrong? Any ideas. Thanks John

The P setting is a parking light setting, does exactly what it says on the tin.

I think you are referring to 2 different features, sounds like you want "guide me home" lights type of feature.

Hi Simon. Ya the manual shows the P position as "guide me home" lights (turn the switch left) the parking lights are first turn right. Do you think there might be a timer problem. Thanks John

P is the parking lights, they'll be on all the time in that setting.

For guide me home lights, pull the indicator stalk back till you hear a tone and they will stay on for 30 seconds.

Cheers Mark, Just tried it I guess it's not a feature on mine

Strange, I've got it on my transit which has the same light switch as yours, did you try it with the ignition off? Other wise it just flashes the main beam.
