Air Blower On My Mk 7 Fiesta Does Not Blow Onto Windscreen.

Featured Replies

hi, I have just tried demisting my windscreen with the blower and found out no air comes out of the vent in the centre of the dash , it comes out of all the other vent when the control is turned to them .I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Simon

i think it's because ford wants you to use the windscreen heater and ultimately use more petrol.

Completely disagree with that..

Ford gains nothing from you using more fuel.. the Majority of fiestas built 2008 onwards are fitted with Aux heaters specifically to create warm air to demist the windscreen whilst the engine warms up.

Sounds like the wire which links the controls and the air flow flaps in the dash has either slipped in it's housing or began to come undone

then remove the comment instead of dissing me off on your forum. i mistakenly thought you were a friendly forum. instead a power hungry staff member feels his duty to slap out his non impartial views. please remove my details from your club. because after only a few days. i'm off and won't be logging in anymore

I'm sorry but what?

Forums are designed for similarly minded people to communicate and share ideas & opinions.

We are an extremely friendly forum. If you cannot accept one person disagreeing with you then goodbye. You will not be missed

What I don't understand, is how am I power hungry? I worked my way up to being a moderator by helping people & being generally beneficial to the forum.

Also, how are my views even slightly non impartial?

Enjoy your leave, If you'd like your details removing please contact one of the Forum owners/managers. If you'd like me to mark you as a Spammer so as you're banned from the club & you shall not be able to access the forum then just say.

I will not remove a comment from another member just because I don't agree with what I say. That's not what a moderator does.

Sincerely

Your resident non impartial power hungry staff member

I must say I agree with Kieran here.

To remove posts purely because of differences of opinions equates to infringement of freedom of speech.

This forum thrives on free and frank exchanges of ideas and deleting posts just because an opinion is counter to your own is not conducive to the ethos of a club.

With that in mind I feel I speak for all my fellow Moderating staff when I say that unwarranted statements issued with the intent to undermine the Staff of FOC and imply that we are either 'power hungry' or 'jobsworths' is wholly unwarranted and merely a cheap dig at the team (not to mention extremely rude and patronising).

Please bear in mind that we give up our (and particularly in my case very limited) free time for no gain, glory or profit in order to ensure the Forum runs in a harmonious and beneficial manner for all.

This is not Facebook where random posts and rants are the norm, but a family/workplace friendly site where likeminded individuals come to share their passion for all things Ford.

This is not the place for rants and hissy fits if someone dares to have an opposing viewpoint.

i think it's because ford wants you to use the windscreen heater and ultimately use more petrol.

This must be one of the most unhelpful posts it's ever been my misfortune to read
