don't know lol not had the car long going to drop it and start again best safe than sorry but would you use semi or full obviously full would be better i guess but the cost takes the pi$$ lol

I usually go with Castrol oil for Fords but not always. For example you can get 5 litres of Shell Helix Ultra 5w30 fully synthetic just now for £16.99 from ECP. You need 4 litres so that leaves you some for topping up.

Castrol Magnatec is £22.66 at the moment for 4 litres.

To be on the safe side I'd change oil & filter as you don't know how long since the last oil change & I'd use fully synthetic.

Remember oil & filter are the lifeblood of your engine

Both of those prices strike me as a bargain, if you only buy your oil in small quantities of 4-5 litres

I've got a Halfrauds trade card and the member discount one(not sure which will be cheaper) but when I used the trade card last I brought oil(mobil 1 usually 40 or 44) and NGK spark plugs for £23 pound lol. But apparently CES supply Halfrauds. I only use Fully synthetic oil as it's totally man made so it has loads of added benefits etc

Halfords trade card provides a 20% discount on oil.

All the other prices are randomly generated :)

For example, I only saved around £25 whilst doing my timing belt etc.

But if I'd have bought a new battery its upto a £40 saving!!

I've given up with Halfords trade card for everything other than bulbs. 50p a pack for sidelights, brake light, tail light etc which is handy for me as it's just up the road and i don't keep any 'amounts' of bulbs. Halfords ones seem to last well too.

Other than that I find trade prices either a pain to go and find out what it will cost me or just not very good. I can do a better deal elsewhere.

I borrow one from a friend in exchange for a small discount on products for his Bagged fiesta. I only use it when I know exactly what I'm going to need & I've read online people have got decent discounts. I always stock up on the big Swarfega tubs every time I go too

Afraid you will only get offer price OR trade price.

Afraid you will only get offer price OR trade price.

Yeh, I made that mistake and didnt realise until I got home, I used trade card and got discount on retail price and was more than the advertised price, soo took it back and bought again without trade card.
