I Hate Carparks!

Featured Replies

Popped into the supermarket today, parked front end into a space facing a hedge, no cars anywhere near me either side and somehow when I get back to the car there is a guy standing there saying is this your car? as he has crashed into it.

I have no idea how he managed it as he had moved his car by this point, at least he had the decency to wait about and own up to it.

Broken rear fog light, very light scratches below the light on the bumper that should polish out. Thing i'm more bothered about is I think the bumper has moved a bit too, looks better than pic now after messing about with it.

Gutted, only had the car a bit over a month and 700 miles. Just got the interior the way I wanted it and was looking forward to giving the car a full detail when I got a decent day of weather.

Why can't people be more careful!!

Rant over!

I had the same happen to me last summer. On a surf holiday, we stay in a farm house, and i parked on the garden to ensure the car was well tucked away. The owner said he saw a lady reverse the size of a football pitch into my car. Same damage, took it to a repair place with great reputation, £850 later it was fixed. Insurance job but I couldn't just polish out some scratches! It was rippled too which was a pain in the :censored:

Hi,

Thought I'd put my bit in too, lol.

My 2004 Focus has quite a few chips on the left hand side of the car, because of inconsiderate people aren't careful when opening their car doors. I get it mostly in my residential private car park or works hospital car park. Some people have knocked my car so hard with their car door, it's got a dent and chip.

Really annoys me why people can't be careful, I don't do it to their doors. I try and park at the end of a row of spaces.

In my residential private communal car park, we have allocated parking and my parking space is right in front of the garden gate, so people have to walk past my car and round the back of it to walk through the garden to get to the communal front door. I try and park forward and further away from the gate to give people enough room, but they still manage to scratch the back of my car with bags! I don't have a choice but to park there as its my allocated space belonging to my maisonette. Where I've parked forward and away from the gate, someone kindly reversed into the front of my car and drove off without stopping or leaving a note. They must of known they'd hit my car because it was forcible enough to push the front bumper into the drivers front wing and then into the drivers door causing the wing and door to catch on each other when opening the drivers door.

I really want to change my car, but this problem with chipping and scratching worries me!

Liam.

Don't even buy a baby seat just park there or park far away I hate carparks too!
