My Terrible Experience With European-Parts.net

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, this is just to tell you of my horrible experience with this website and owner, and to advise anyone ordering from there, if something goes wrong with the order you to will probably go through the same ordeal.

I ordered a pair of Dectane LED Lightbar Taillights for my Fiesta MK7 and thankfully used PayPal to pay. I ordered in early morning and my order was dispatched a few hours later, I contacted the website, basically one person to my knowledge, for a tracking number and got a quick reply, looking good so far. However when the lights arrived and I opened them up, one was unfortunately damaged.

So I contacted the website straight away with several images as evidence to the damage. A few hours later he replied saying that I have to place a damage report with the delivery service and send him a copy. Even though I paid for the DHL service, Parcelforce delivered. Anyway, I searched throughout the Parcelforce website and could not find this damage report that he spoke of, only a claims form and Parcelforce don't offer any compensation on automotive parts. I replied to him saying all of this but he just replied back saying the exact same thing, ignoring what I had said. This one-way conversation I was having with him lasted a few days and was getting me nowhere so I decided to dispute the order through PayPal to see if that would get things moving. But it didn't, the conversation we had on the resolution centre was basically an exact copy of previous e-mails but his with added 'formal' wording. He also continued to e-mail me during the dispute with there tone being condescending and rude with the use of multiple question marks and caps lock. His last e-mail started with "I wonder if you are just ignorant or stupid." This was the last straw and I just escalated the dispute to a claim and let PayPal decide what was to happen. Thankfully it went in my favour and all I need to do was to return the lights, I chose the cheapest courier as possible because I knew I wouldn't get the money back off him for that. They were sent out on the 18th and got to him on the 29th, I promptly got a full refund from PayPal.

I suppose if the lights arrived perfectly fine I would have thought the service was great, but when it goes wrong it shows the real customer service and how unprofessional this particular website is.

Glad you got your money back. Go on, be honest, you dropped the light didnt you!

Honestly I didn't haha, it wasn't packaged well as that edge was right against the cardboard of in the inner box, so whenever it was in transit and undoubtedly dropped/thrown the edge pierced right through the inner box and slightly the outer box, snapping it straight off.
