alexp999
If they void the insurance they could refuse to pay out for the person you hit hence you are effectively an uninsured driver. Seems incredibly selfish to have the attitude of not caring about insuring properly.
GingerFlame
If you have an accident that results in your car being scrapped, chances are there will be some pretty serious charges attached. You'll also have driving uninsured on your history. good luck being able to afford a new car & good luck trying to get insurance again. GingerFlame
The only reason you'll find it cheap to run is because you're not informing your insurance company once youve modified it. If you were going to drive the car legally then it would be far from cheap to run

If you were going to drive the car legally then it would be far from cheap to run I'll be honest I am not the one paying it so I don't care, I only pay for the petrol and I have been given £5000 to spend on the car if I wish which is why I posted this thread. GingerFlame
So why not split that cash? Use whatever you can on mods, then the rest on insurance? Comprimise. Otherwise you're driving a car with a whole lot of cash but into it, with no insurance & risking time in prison if you kill somebody in an accident (that's an ACCIDENT, they happen) www.yorkshiredetailing.co.uk - approved resellers of the Highest quality detailing & Valeting supplies

MONDEO TXS 2.2
second i drive safe on public roads so very unlikely to happen and if i crash into someone i will happily pay their repair bills, When you kill someone will you bring them back from the dead too . . . You are a self centred, selfish, inconsiderate, uneducated idiot who has no place on public roads.
GingerFlame
Its difficult to say what it will cost to insure. Give Adrian flux a message as they specialise in modified policies. It won't be cheap, but it could save your freedom in life If you have an accident www.yorkshiredetailing.co.uk - approved resellers of the Highest quality detailing & Valeting supplies

Best bet is to play around on comparison websites and try different mods to see how it affects the quote.
GingerFlame
You may be able to get a black box and drop the price considerably if you're such a safe driver, and if you drive fast on private land then tell the insurance this before taking out a policy. They may be able to clear this data if you can prove it was private land. I personally think black box policies are ridiculous. but. I have a friend who's 18 and has a 175bhp Peugoet 207 and it costs him around £1k a year to insure. He has a black box for 3 months then he's free to do as he pleases www.yorkshiredetailing.co.uk - approved resellers of the Highest quality detailing & Valeting supplies

GingerFlame
Thread locked. If the idiot wants to drive uninsured because his daddy has money then let him if he'd rather spend years of his life in prison for killing somebody whilst driving uninsured, Let him. We all know it's illegal and a generally bad idea to drive without insurance, and if he's not willing to listen to all of us then let him make mistakes and learn from them www.yorkshiredetailing.co.uk - approved resellers of the Highest quality detailing & Valeting supplies
