Strange dull in power and belt noises!!

Hi my 2008 1.8 petrol zetec cmax has developed a strange dull in power when what sounds like a belt is slipping happens,it also struggles to maintain its revs through a journey when stationary.has anyone else had this problem.

    Hi thanks for your message. I'm not sure if they have ever been replaced but I was told it was on a timing chain.its got 81000 on the clock.it dulls as if you have really quickly taken you foot of the accelerator.
