Ecu problem!

Featured Replies

I have a 2006 Ford Fiesta tdci. I've had a load of problems with this car!! Took it to a ford dealer after multiple trips to different garages, turns out its the Ecu and the ford garage wouldn't touch it?!!! But gave me a phone number of this auto electrician.

The problem is, after driving the car for a couple more weeks, the car wouldn't go a mile without problems and developed another problem - the power steering would cut off. And now I'm unable to drive the car far enough to get it to the auto electrician!

how easy would it be for me to do this myself? And has anyone else had the same problem?

Can't see you being able to do it yourself unless you managed to get hold of the ECU firmware and flash the new firmware onto the ECU, I would see if you can get a auto electrician out to you to pick up the ECU
