Liam40
Hi, I'm new to the site and haven't looked around much yet, so I don't know if what I am sharing has been shared yet, but I was googling 'like you do', about what's the best type of fuel (Petrol/Diesel) to go for in my next Ford, and I came across this True MPG Calculator page by What Car? And in partnership with Tescos. Link below: http://www.whatcar.com/truempg/my-true-mpg# I compared a Ford Focus 1.0 125 EcoBoost with a Ford Focus 1.6 150 EcoBoost, and was I surprised to find that, apart from the 1.6 150 BHP being more expensive on annual road tax, it came out better in MPG and in other figures than the Ford Focus 1.0 125 BHP. The above figures are based on the type of driving that I do i.e: a mixture of roads and how I drive. This is surprising and interesting!!! Liam. P.S. Hope the link works! Ryan_Tango
Very interesting but might be because you can use the torque lower down the rev range so the engine does not have to work as hard to achieve the same speed.
