Buy a Nilfisk, better and more reliable. Mine was about £70-80 and is perfectly adequate.

This one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nilfisk-Titan-120-Pressure-Washer-1400W-120-Bar-/121875170857?hash=item1c60538629:g:7zkAAOSwAYtWNypg

Does it have a foam lance/gun?

I personally wouldn't pressure wash the car first, you could risk marking the paintwork by blasting dirt around...

Plus snowfoam sticks better to a dry car.

I didn't actually think of that :p, good point. I just liked to get the majority of grime off first so the foam can try and tackle the more sticky stuff but may try that way next time :D

No but it's similar to this one.

I've had mine a few years now, and my dad has the same one (used more regularly) and it's proved hard to beat for the price.

As for the lance, you'll need something like this...

I've got one and it produces thick foam, thanks to the air control valve on the top.

I have (had until it ran out) the exact same one - really good tbh. Quicky, I guess you can just swap the bottle under the valve when it runs out? (not had a proper look you see))!!

But these are great @Messy as they plug directly onto most jet washes
