Transmission function limited error

i have 2011 auto ford galaxy diesel 2.0,

 

recently when i start my car there is error comes up saying transmission function limited, but when I switch on and off and move the fear slowly from neutral to Drive then it's disappear and it's kept happening until the car fully warm.. Then it doesn't come up so please help me to find out what exactly is the problem, thanks

    Not sure about this fault, but the thing that springs to mind is gear box oil level and viscosity. Have you checked these. I say this because the fault appears to disappear when the box has warmed up. Just a guess. I have so many different fault and error messages appearing on mine, only to dissaper afterwards that I sometimes despair of Ford engineering.

    worth a try anyhow?
