Caz 64
Bit dissatisfied with the 3 year warranty does not cover internal trim. Person from customer care has no clue about cars. Messed me around for two weeks only to be told not covered under warranty
JSMarsden
Its usually the standard with all warrantys. Probably for a few reasons: Internal trim can easily come down to wear and tear IE Seatbelts, leather areas, buttons - their longevity all depends on how much you use it and if you abuse it (in your car a LOT) then its not really the manufacturers fault if certain areas of the car have 5 years worth of wear and tear in the space of 2 years etc. Also, internal parts (bulbs, plastics) are easily replaced by even an amature who doesn't know much about what theyre doing. Its easy to break clips and what not from changing parts/finding rattles etc and would be hard for the garage to prove you broke it - thus they lose out of pocket for things customers are potentially breaking. Usually they will help find rattles but interior and wear and tear items are never usually covered for these reasons. Sounds harsh but it'll specify it in the warranty. Even extended warrantys don't cover it. Some garages also sell a minor damage insurance for £200 for 2 years, so if you get a dent it gets repaired for free no excess. However this doesn't cover bonnets or roofs (which is where you get most dents from stones etc)..... lot of catches in them
