Window tinting manufacturers specification.

Wondering if anyone knows much about window tinting manufacturers specifications? I asked my insurance company about tinting and they said it would cost no extra if it was done to the manufacturers specification, even if it was done by a tinting garage and not Ford themselves. Does anyone know what the manufacturers specification would be?

    The factory tint is actually a tinted laminate built into the glass layers rather than a foil applied to the inside of the glass.

    I'd say it's best to ask Ford themselves what tint level they usually apply.

    I do believe that factory tint allows about 20% light transfer.
