Hi, just seeing if anyone has come across this before, I'm trying to get a quote for a st170(I have been told) and when I put the number plate into any insurance quote it refuses to find the car yet when I put it into the gov mot checker or tax checker it will find the vehicle, and if I put it into a car valuation site it will say ford focus 2003 unknown but the CO2emission are 218g/km which comes under the st170 I think so just checking to see if anyone has had this before.

Thanks.

Sounds like it's either an import or had a personal plate on it.

If it was an import would that make a difference for insurance claim purposes?

Imports usually cost more to insure, but I don't know about claims.  It'll say on the V5 (logbook) if its an import or not.
