Will be interesting to hear how you get on with the Eibachs... that's a tempting mod.

Quick question to those in the know.

Is there a rubber spring seat for the bottom of the strut? If so any part number.

And when I put the springs on the shocks I didn't need spring compressors to bolt it down. I guess cos the shocks are new?

Will post more photos of before and after so watch this space.

I wonder how much they will effect the ride quality upto what you are currently used too

Hopping to be a bit stiffer and less body role. Not looking forward to slowing down for speed bumps

You should be ok with speed bumps as its only a 30mm approx drop and you don't have any aftermarket lip spoilers or anything to worry about

Springs and shocks installed and blimey what a firm ride compared to the standard setup. And it's mich lower than I was expecting. Only issue I have is a slight pull to the left which I'm sure is tracking related.

I'm off to work in a bit and will give you a more detailed report later.

Well I can now clean the roof without a step ladder 😆

OK so after my 30 mile cruise to work I can report back that I had a very pleasurable drive. The roads down south are fairly good quality so absolutely no issues whatsoever. The steering's nice and heavy at speed and light while parking. Great feedback. I've not pushed it to hard but from what I'm seeing I think I'm going to enjoy the Fiesta even more now.

As reported earlier, you do notice strait away how firm the ride is but you soon forget about it. Took the wife and daughter out today and nither noticed any difference which for me is a good thing 😆

So to sum up, I'd definitely recommend getting the Eibachs and if you don't have a Zetec S / Black / Red edition get the shocks upgraded at the same time.

I only have one complaint and that is I'm brassic now till next pay day 😂

Bit late for a response, but thanks for providing feedback on these. Anyone else have Eibach spring experience? I'm considering..

  • 3 weeks later...

Eibach Pro Kit springs have gone on the Red Edition today. Will provide some thoughts after things have settled. Certainly don't seem too stiff or harsh.

Well, after the first month I really rate the Pro-Kit springs. Not too harsh at all, tightens everything up nicely and the drop isn't significant. I test drove an ST yesterday (quite tempted and you can get some good deals at the moment), and the difference is significant. Much nicer ride with the Eibachs and doesn't get unsettled at lower speeds. Definitely recommend as an upgrade.
