This has just started this afternoon on my focus 61 plate, keep getting an information tab up on my dash board telling me the left side back passenger door is open, when it's actually closed but when the door is open it shows its closed. I'm seriously confused by this anyone with any information on why this could be happening please let me know if seriously appreciate the help

    Have you tried opening and shutting the door multiple times?
    Have you looked at the door latch, does it look the same as the opposite side? Is there anything stuck in the latch on the door itself?
    Does the interior light come on as well?

    sounds like its the microswitch in the door
