Fitting ambient light above glove box

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone has fitted the ambient light to above the glove box on a Fiesta zetec s that already has the wiring?  Have a 65 plate zetec s but unsure of where to find the wiring.  I have the holes which I think the LED strip would fit in to but not sure about the wiring

Open the glove box put your hand up at the top left behind where the strip should be and you should find a small 2 wire connector slotted in to the inside of the dash.

Thanks mate.  Would I just unplug the connector already in and connect the LED strip connector?

That's exactly what you do mate, pull the connector out of the blanking plate & plug it into the LED unit

Mine has one but after a couple of days you won't remember/realise whether it's there or not.

The remit for the designers must've been "make it look like Blackpool illuminations".

Hi there, I am in the same situation, I have a 16plate Fiesta Mk 7.5 and I am looking to install the light under the glove box. It has the cut out and clip holes where you would expect the light to be but I’m not sure on how to find the wiring.
I understand if you put you hand up in top left corner there is a two wire plug plugged into the back of the dash and i can feel this in my car but before I go unplugging something that shouldn’t be could you please confirm if the plug is the one with a small blue wire and a brown/red that is slightly bigger in diameter?
I would really appreciate any advice.
Thanks
