Hi Everyone

im about to buy a galaxy 2010 with a powershift gearbox,it has 98,000 miles on the clock and was owned by a company that used for airport

runs..im just a little nervous about the gearbox as have seen alot of powershift models for sale with gearbox problems..just wondered if anyone had any views or experience

with this model to either put my mind at rest or warn me off.

    I do not have any experience of the powershift gearbox in the Galaxy but a 2010 model would be an early powershift. if you are buying from a Ford dealer with a 12 month guarantee I don't think you will have much to worry about. No matter where you buy it from, if you have limited mechanical experience it would be wise to pay for an independent mechanical inspection as offered by the AA or RAC.  You don't have to be a member to get an inspection done and I think they are available form other places as well.
