Ford Fiesta Mk6.5 Wing Mirror Removal

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

the passenger side wing mirror on my mk6 (facelift) fiesta needs replacing and I'm having trouble finding a guide to help me. Before I start I'd like to know if I can do the job myself or if I need a professional.

Its a non-folding electric mirror, if I can access the relevant wiring without taking the door apart I reckon I can manage it but I'm struggling to find out how involved the job is. Anyone know of a guide that would help, ideally with images!

thanks everyone

I can't really help on the Fiesta, all I can say is that on the Focus, it rates 1 spanner (easy, suitable for novice) in Haynes. Just unclipping a couple of trim panels, and a couple of bolts.

Haynes is still a good resource for this sort of job.

Thanks peter, actually managed it without the manual. Simple job actually, for anyone interested I've included a pic below. There's a 10mm but that needs to be removed and another torx screw. It's a good idea to pack some bubble wrap into the cavity below to stop the screws falling into the door trim. The wiring for the power mirrror was already there so I just removed the old mirror and clipped my new one in place!
