3rd year service

Featured Replies

Hi all, after a little bit of advice, picking up my car on Thursday and have just noticed it's a thousand miles from its 3rd year service. I've checked and double checked on the Ford Etis website and if I'm understanding it right it's only a interim service required. Obviously the car will be serviced before I pick it up but will this be adequate enough for the stamp. Many thanks .

If you are buying from a dealer, I would insist that the car is serviced as per manufacturer's spec' & the service log stamped before buying it

Many thanks for the reply, I pick the car up tomorrow and the money has already been transferred by the bank. Is it too late to insist on the service, I haven't actually signed for the car yet so maybe I could use pulling out of the deal as leverage,

its an empty threat if they already have your cash lol

and if they call your bluff and say no free service are you prepared to abandon your car purchase ?    and all the time and effort put into it...........

Don't need to in the end, , they did it to manufacturers spec and put a stamp in the book, great car, just got to remember it's not a 2.0 TDCI and I can't overtake in sixth lol
