Fiesta ST Build - 2013 - AWP868

Featured Replies

So I am going to have to start this retrospectively... by quite some way!

I got my Fiesta ST back in September 2015 - loved it immediately from the very first test drive... Coming from a 1.4 Renault Megane that may be no surprise :) My girlfriend was rooting for an Audi A3 or Mercedes A Class... I won.

I think it's grown on her since though (at least that's what I tell myself)

Here it is way back when...

It was in this same garage that I invited David Bailey round to take some tarty shots of the car and interior that have no relevance or context!

Soon after the good stuff starts happening - much better than the photos that's for sure! Enjoy!

I then went and fitted the Mountune MP215 kit and shortly after went and got the spacers fitted - Eibach Pro Spacers  - 30mm total track widening on each axle. Mountune MP215 kit is great but a lot of the power gains are found quite high up in the rev range - lower down it doesn't really give you too much more grunt! Up high though it does pull better through 3rd / 4th gear and the power seems to stick with you through to 6000/6500 rpm. I would certainly recommend it as a basic starter upgrade kit - warranty approval certainly helps...

I got the upgraded Mountune Induction Hose fitted at the same time which adds a nice bit of colour to the engine bay - would love to add to that so if anyone has any good pointers to improve the look of the engine bay that would be great! Has anyone tried a breather hose kit

Have a look at paintmodz on Facebook, you can get the engine cover, fusebox lid, airbox lid, front panel and top air feet all painted, he sells covers for the battery and header tank too.

you can get other hoses in blue.

a mishimoto oil catch can looks good and can be useful.

boomba make some coloured bottle caps etc, autospecialists sell black or chrome caps, paintmodz can colour code them.

That's great thanks - I've been more focused on what's going on under the bonnet and with the stance / set-up! I'll have a look at these and I'm sure you'll see photos pop up soon enough!

I have a fiesta 1.0 ecoboost 125bhp fitted it with a miltek no res system a while back and it's booked in next week to get airtec intercooler miltek de cat downpipe and a stage 2 re map which should see returns on 170bhp and 280nm torque anyone else done this or something like it

looks good so far

@b4zz Sounds awesome - how is the exhaust without the res? I know Puma Speed pushed 205 out of their 1.0 - http://www.pumaspeed.co.uk/car-Fiesta-Mk75-Zetec-S-10-Ecoboost_1_325.jsp - great article in FastFord about the "Tiny Titan"! Is it those guys you're going to for the map by any chance?

Looks good, interested to see what you do with the engine bay

I upgraded to the MR230 Mountune package back in May - definitely one of the best things you can do with the Fiesta ST is shove some more power into it - it's perfectly capable of handling the MR230 and probably a chunk more to be fair! This was around the same time I dropped the car onto H&R Lowering Springs (30mm) which coupled with the spacers looked great. I'd sorted out the Mountune Roll Restrictor and Symposer Plug myself before this happened as well - much nicer acoustic to hear the exhaust properly rather than have a lot of induction noise piped back into the cabin in my opinion.

Here are a few photos of the work - cam timing tool, sports cat, roll restrictor, exhaust and intercooler

Getting up to date now I've had my BC BR-RS Coilover Kit fitted this week along with a TripleR Composites Splitter. It's brought the car up around 5mm from where it sat on the H&R Springs but I think it looks great, especially with the splitter added. As well as improving the ride without compromising the handling (I've got the settings I've used if anyone is interested) the new suspension has also improved steering lock so parking / manoeuvring is easier!

Old vs. New!

Thanks - looking forward to seeing how it comes on now myself! Been so focused on performance and getting that to where I think it should be on the road and now I'm happy with that set-up can't seem to stop messing...

Thanks - how you getting on for ideas for your car?

Did I see you using TripleR Side Skirts? How does that affect things like the jacking points?

I haven't yet added the TripleR side skirts. I just have the TripleR Splitter at the front. The side skirts will be the next thing though so I'll let you know how it goes and if there's any issues. Apart from that gonna just tidy up the drums and calipers and see how it goes from there :)

@OPLxx Cool - I have looked at the car now I've got the splitter added and thought they would look good! Got some Mountune carpets the other day and have sent off my engine cover to be reworked like below by Paintmodz so there are a few little touches to come yet!

@awp868 that engine cover so going to look so good! Everything's coming together nicely!

So I got my pieces for the engine bay back from Paintmodz [engine cover / fuse box cover / battery cover] - think they look great! Especially when you see the engine cover colours mirror the body colour / badge / splitter... Thanks again Chris!
