Need Advice On A Few Things For My 2007 Ford Fiesta Zyrtec S

Featured Replies

I have spent too much time online looking for answers and even on here and I either can't find the answers or what I think is related is a bunch of people speaking in jargon and I have no idea what means what and that's coming from someone who knows a fair bit about cars and doesn't just assume you get it a car and drive and all will be ok!

Umm so I guess my first question is, I'm looking at getting a backbox/muffler tip or a full new exhaust system coming from the engine. I want a genuine engine/exhaust sound and not just a chavy loud deep noise when I put my foot down. I don't think I can or should spend £500 on a Milltec full exhaust system or whatever this is here

But I don't just want a muffler tip as the end of the exhaust is quit back under the rear bumper and is bent downwards so adding a muffler will be tricky and that I think will just make the noise mentioned above that I don't want.. Any ideas of a mix between full exhaust system and just tips to get a mixture between cost saving but also a sound like the above video?

Another question is, I have front disc breaks that are the standard Ford brake callipers etc look crap and the tears are drums.. I want to respray them all and was thinking red on the front and black on the back as I've read that drums red look shocking lol but then I thought and tried to look up upgrading my break callipers and discs slightly bigger and then getting a red callipers with that to save repraying the original ones etc and hopefully getting larger back drums black.. Any thoughts?

Another question is, I am going to get a red silicone tubing for the windscreen washer jets just for looks.. I was also thinking about getting a red suspension mounting brace which I have read adds a slight amount of % improvement with handling (which isn't really an issue with my car as it handles, goes and stops pretty much like a dream! It had been well looked after by the previous owners Ford mechanic boyfriend!) but it'll be mainly for visuals. I was also then going to respray the engine cover red too!

I have looked at replacing all the piping with red silicone piping but for a kit it's almost £200 which is a lot for tubing. Does anyone know where you can get it cheaper, perhaps individual parts etc to reduce the price but not compensate on quality?

Can you remove the rear diffuser, rear reflector housing, front fog light housing, front bumper air in take grille, grille, side plastic trim and door handles in a day and sand down/prep and respray black and put back on the car if the weather is good and you start in the morning and finish in the afternoon?

What's the deal with the door speakers? I've seen that they're 5x7" and you would have to make an mdf wooden housing for bigger speakers and some other stuff to fit better upgraded say Pioneer speakers costing around £40-£50 for a set and is it better to get a coaxial upgraded speaker to still run the stardard tweeters or buy new tweeters or a kit that has both? I don't want a sub and amp and I'm still deciding if I want a single or double din upgraded head unit...

I can't think of much more than I need help with lol does anyone know any good websites for parts to recommend? Has anyone done any of the above and can give a short walkthrough?

Thank you in advance! 👌🏽
