Hi after some help

I have a ford focus 1.6 petrol sport 55 reg

I keep getting a power train fault up but running the scanner i get no fault codes . When this happens engine goes in limp mode

Also sometimes i put key in ignition everything comes on but turn key fully and nothing apart from red flashing light inbetween clock which i presume is imoboliser

Really becoming a pain anyone else suffered this what could it possibly be

Once  i turn ignition off and start again all lights go off and car works fine until the next time

The immobiliser LED flashes out a code. After a while of fast flashing, it changes to something like:

one flash, pause, 6 flashes, pause & repeat.

That would be code 16, communications error.

If you get that, it is probably the common 2005/6 Focus IC fault. See:

Or post here for more help.
