Radio fuse

Featured Replies

Hi

i own a Ford Focus sport 1.8 2007

i am trying to add a USB outlet. I ran a piggy back fuse from the cigarette lighter fuse which ended up draining the battery. Although this didn't happen on my previous car.  I was told by a friend to connect it to the radio fuse so it's only active when the car is running. But which is the radio fuse? Or is there another fuse I can use which doesn't drain the battery?

thanks in advance

Look at my posts on a PC and you'll see a link to my guides.

In the guides are fuse layouts for early and late mk2 Focus cars.

Pick the fuses for something ignition live like rear demister or suchlike.

The mk2 lighter sockets are permanent live from the battery which is why you ran yours down.
