Ford expedition engine swap?

Featured Replies

Hi, my old 98 ford expedition engine locked up the other day and i was wondering about ideas to swap the engine. Like what would fit? Would a 5.4 triton bolt up to the transmission with out and change in the bell housing or flywheel? I'm mostly hoping for a plug and play engine swap with little modification. Also things like where could i pull the engine from? Would a mercury motor work? Its a 98 ford xlt expedition with 4.6L 2v v8 in it and its 4x4. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

hi there, this is a uk based forum and dont see the vehicle or engines your enquiring about unfortunatly. you might have more luck on a us based forum.
