Anti theft protection device pin

Featured Replies

I changed the battery in 2010 Mondeo now the radio says anti theft protection please enter device pin ! We're do I get this pin from ? Checked the book but to no avail?

Hello and welcome

if you have the cars hand book it may be in there. Failing that have a peek in the glove box to see if there is a stick with the code. Failing that, remove radio and get the serial number and google it. Sometimes the code may be on the radio.

learn a lesson. Before removing or disconnecting the battery find your code first

2010 mondeo radio wont be and easy one to get out, if you cant find the code, press 1 and 5 or 1 and 6 together and various numbers and letters show up, what your looking for is the serial number, starts with a v . so v-------.

with that serial no you can get a code off ebay sellers for a small fee.

Having just had to replace a battery at a non-Ford garage (it was Sunday!!) - I found no instructions in the handbook following the instruction to enter the Anti-Theft PIN. So I googled it & found this & I’d like to add that I did not follow the below suggestions but how simple it turned out to be.

Assuming you know the code simply key the code in using the radio preset station buttons at the top the radio & press ok. That’s all you need to do.  I was advised that I’d also have to key in revised Bluetooth codes too but they remain.

The way I had to go is by paying for a new code for the radio. It’s a pain in the perverbial.

I'm sure that One Post Wonder @Stevo80 has sorted the problem by now. You're only NINE years too late in answering his question 🤣
