Dealer service vs service stop

Featured Replies

Hi, I was wondering what general opinions are about dealer service vs alternatives these days. There seem to be a lot of options.

Dealer quoted me £270 for a3yr full service. Service stop cost £122!

Any reason why dealer service is worth over the times the price?

Thanks!

Hello and welcome Dominic

You would probably get a better answer if posted in the dedicated C-Max section here http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/forum/25-ford-c-max-club/

In short the main dealer has specialist ford trained mechanics who will know your car well.

He/She have access to all the ford tools needed for the work and access to call back info etc.  That is what your paying a premium for, Knowledge amongst technical know how.

On the other hand  service stop could well be non qualified persons working on your car using cheap non ford products etc

So it's down to money and who you trust the most to service your car.
