Water in drivers foot well?

Featured Replies

I have an 11 plate cmax titanium and the past few days I've noticed a small trickle of water coming down the side behind the plastic near the clutch peddle?

The carpet isn't soaking wet and this has only happened since it rained or if I've cleaned my windscreen.  I've had the scuttle plate off and there was pools of water either side, I had a poke and cleared the dirt and debris (will wash it out when I wash car this weekend).

I thought that would be problem solved, no water trickle when I got in car and felt dry (it rained last night), washed windscreen when was out then when arrived home drops of water down same place again?

Anyone had this and any pointers?

Hello Laura

Have a good look around the bulkhead behind the engine and check to see if anything that goes through the bulkhead is sealed. like if a grommet has been displaced that would allow water in. Ideally it would be good to get the car up on ramps to view from underneath.

You could also lift the carpet to get a better view of any water entering the car.

You would be better posting this in tjhe dedicated C-Max section Laura. However here is a link to a previous thread in the c-max section asking the same question as you. Pop over here and read.
