Engine malfunction

I've had my Ford fiesta 1.6 diesel, for over 2 years. Back in August, had the engine malfunction light come on. Book it into my local Ford garage for diagnostics. The error code was something to do with the turbo. But they'd checked it and found nothing wrong with it. Wiped the code and told me if it happens again, to go back. Everything's fine until the last few days. I've recently driven from Kent to Cornwall and the light didn't come on. Now it does every time I start the car. Unlike what others have had happen, mine does not go into limp mode. It has recently had a major service, so all of the filters have been changed. If anyone would be able to give me an idea of what could be causing it, I'd be very greatful.
