Fastlife91
Do brakes have to be bled after replacing a wheel bearing hub ? I ask because apparently to replace a wheel bearing you must remove the caliper and apparently removing a caliper means you have to bleed the brakes, is this true ? jmurray01
Unless you are removing a brake hose the brakes don't need to be bled.

Stoney871
Jamie is correct. You need to remove the caliper but no need to disconnect the brake hose so no need to bleed as the integrity has been kept. Top Tip- Don't let the caliper hang down off the hose or you may damage it, bungee or cable tie it up out of the way without stretching or kinking the hose.
