I'd like to know what MPG I should expect from a Fiesta 1.0 Titanium Turbo.

I just hired one as a short term back up for my wife, and think I've been conned on the fuel. The tank was apparently full when we got it, and we only did 121 miles. I filled it up at the end and it took 19 litres. That's approx 6.4 miles to the litre or 29 mpg (all on quiet country A roads).

The tank registered full when we picked it up, but went down very quickly. Although it registered full, it was only just on the edge of the full marker, whereas when we filled it up at the end it was well over to the right of the full marker.

My questions are

What MPG should I have expected.

Does anyone know how far or how much fuel you could use before the fuel gauge was just below the full line. I suspect there was about 10 litres missing from full, and I suspect the rental company knew that.
