Low Battery

Featured Replies

I put my battery on charge last night as I only use my car on short journeys. What I would like to know is the transmission affected on my fiester outomatic if the battery is low? John. Happy new year to all and happy safe driving. John.

it wont make any difference.

the battery is only there to start the engine and provide power for immobilizer , radio , and engine management memory whilst the car is switched off.

once engine is started the alternatior provides electrical power to all the cars systems.

your welcome.

recommended parts & fluids replacement intervals should be listed in the back of the owners manual you get with the car.

but as a general guidline ,

replace spark plugs every 4 years

brake fluid every 2 years

air filter every 2-3 years

cabin pollen filter every 2 years

fuel filter every 2 years

air con gas every 2-3 years.

key fob batteries every 2 years.

you wont go far wrong with the above.
